✦ A new family tradition ✦
The holiday tradition your family has been missing
A children's book and magical doll that brings Krishna's kindness into your home — every single night.
Why Krishna on a Cushion
Hindu families deserve their own beloved tradition
Every December, millions of families wake up to find an elf in a new spot. But for Hindu families, there was no equivalent — no culturally rooted, child-delighting ritual tied to our own stories and values.
Krishna on a Cushion changes that. Each night, Krishna moves to a new cushion in your home. Each morning, your child searches for him — and discovers a little act of kindness to try that day.
Meet the author
Written by Gia Shah, age 13
Gia wrote Krishna on a Cushion because she wanted her little cousins to feel the same wonder she felt about Krishna growing up — but in a way that was playful, magical, and entirely their own.
At 13, she wrote the story, developed the characters, and co-founded this business with her dad. Every book you buy goes directly to supporting her next chapter.
"I wrote this book because I wanted kids like me to have a tradition that felt like ours — something magical we could call our own."

What families are saying
Real reviews from real homes
"My daughter asks every single morning — 'Where is Krishna today?!' It has become our favourite thing. The book is beautiful and the doll is even cuter in person."
"Finally a tradition that feels like ours. I cried reading the book — it's so thoughtfully written. Can't believe a 13-year-old wrote this."
"Ordered for Diwali and my son has been talking about Krishna every day since. We're going to do this every year. Best gift I've given."
